Coronado Brewing Company Restaurant Review

We like to make an adventure out of a trip to this brewpub by taking the ferry from downtown over to Coronado. From there, it's a short walk to this friendly spot on the northern tip of the island. The Chapman brothers opened the place in 1996 in their hometown, and they are true pioneers in the San Diego beer scene. Wood-fired pizzas are the stars of the culinary show, though you can get a...

The carefully crafted beers, such as the Islander Pale Ale (IPA) and Mermaid's Red Ale, are good by themselves, but they're also the perfect accompaniment to bratwurst and beer-battered onion rings, served in huge portions. There's indoor seating, a pair of sidewalk terraces and, best of all, a walled garden that provides a quiet haven from the bustle of Orange Avenue. Simple choices are the...

Large brewpub on Coronado Island. Sat in large dining room with a dozen tables and booths. Other rooms, but I didn't move about much so not sure how big the bar was. 16 nicely assorted beers on tap, the one I had was very tasty. Friendly server. Did not try the food.

Beautiful sunny Saturday in Coronado. Went to the Coronado Brewing Company for lunch. I had the Fish and Chips which was excellent. My wife had the Seafood Salad and liked it very much. Later walked down to the bay.
Try it.
