One of the more intriguing accomplishments of the Giuliani adminstration was the faithful reconstruction of this once-dying park. Old plans were consulted, and a massive restoration project was undertaken to return this park to its former glory. I walked through this park. It looks quite nice, very clean. It's very interesting to observe trees and nature surrounded by Government buildings and City Hall types. It's interesting it's that way and not the other way around. A small patch of green surrounded by stone and steel structures.
I'll have to stop by again and check it out more thoroughly. With the warming up of the weather I'll be spending more time checking out parks and stuff.
