There's "no need to go to Paris" thanks to this "under-the-radar" TriBeCa bistro purveying "classic" Gallic grub that conjures up a "certain je ne sais quoi"; it's a "comfy" fallback for local boulevardiers who sit outside and "pretend" they're on the Champs-Elysées.

The former chef of Lutèce, David Féau, created this stylish TriBeCa French bistro that includes a raw bar, and includes a few American touches. Its style emulates the 1970 movie of the same name, le cercle rouge, and seats 95 in the main dining room, which includes a trendy red circular booth in the middle of the dining room. The raw bar at back covers the seafood spectrum from caviar to...

Romance sans stuffiness. The small round tables and blue wicker chairs of the open patio or the scarlet-walled white tablecloths of the dining room -- ambience is what they sell here. The food is classic and French, the wine list is simple and expensive, but the real crème de la crème is a chocolate martini with a jaw-dropping view of the sunset over the Hudson.

I love the fact that they have a magician there to provide entertainment for the kids and that way parents and friends can enjoy their meals and conversations.

Great brunch on Sat or Sun with kids

Service is always pleasant. Food is fabulous (brunch). Nutella crepes is the kids favorite (only listed on dessert menu so ask). Always fun because lots of families and the balloon/magician in the back to entertain the kiddies while you wait for your meal. And the in-laws (grandpa & nana) enjoy it too.

Alternative to The Odeon

We are longtime Tribeca residents and when tourists pack The Odeon, this is a great alternative. It is authentic and not a scene.
