What the community has to say about Celadon - Napa

Information about this business (4)

Celadon is a restaurant located in Napa, Calif., offering a seasonally-influenced menu that features flavors from the Mediterranean, Asia and the Americas. Its lunch menu features specialty cocktails, Maine peeky-toe crab cake with gazpacho sauce, black pepper aioli, beef satay with cucumber, green papaya and pickled ginger salad, spicy peanut sauce, flash fried calamari with a spicy chipotle...

Celadon was the first on Napa’s short block of eclectic, Asian-skewed eateries. Though located in the restored Napa Mill complex on the Napa River, a few short blocks from downtown, don’t mistake that for “riverside”: it’s got great patio dining but the liquid real estate belongs to Angèle, bookending the other end of the complex. But if you’re into the concept of “global comfort food,”...

From OpenTable: Enjoy Celadon's award-winning 'Global Comfort Food' in our beautiful dining room or on the lovely courtyard. Celadon Restaurant Review

Celadon, in an historic mill along the Napa River, makes for a pretty night out, whether on the expansive, covered courtyard with commanding fireplace or in the green and gilded dining room accented by brick and French prints. It’s the kind of place where Champagne gets uncorked with a pop rather than a subtle sizzle---which parallels the food: bold and a little showy. Dishes embrace a global...

A must-try hidden gem, this hip downtown Napa destination serves creative, international-inflected American food in an up-to-the-minute setting.

We loved Celadon in the past. We are big foodies, but also expect good service especially at certain price points. Having been in hospitality, restaurants that not only apologize for an error but provide something to make up for the error such as offering dessert or comping the entree always score points with me. Not because I get something for free but because they are ensuring I will come...

I have been to Celadon many times, this time the food quality and selection was by far the poorest. It was Valentine's Day (I should know better) and the food was clearly mass produced, we got our entrees in about 5 minutes (too fast if you ask me). The lamb and couscous (a signature dish) was poorly seasoned and the lamb could have been washed a little more before cooking. The cioppino was...

Though I live local, this is the first time I've been to Celadon and it certainly won't be my last. I can't say enough about the food. Every bite was delicious and our server Sarah was delightful even with the restaurant being very busy.

We had a romantic, delicious dinner on Valentine's. The cocktails were great followed by yummy appetizers. I loved the calamari. My partner had the cheese and fruit ( also on the dessert menu). We shared the vegetable misto. Very light light and tasty. I had the salmon which was perfect. Definitely will return. Many more items to try.

Enjoy Celadon's award-winning 'Global Comfort Food' in our beautiful dining room or on the lovely courtyard. The seasonally influenced menu features flavors from the Mediterranean, Asia, and the Americas.

This popular gem opened in 1996. Its celebrated owner and chef, Greg Cole, a graduate of New York's Culinary Institute of America, also has extensive training in winemaking. Chic yet unpretentious, the cozy interior contains brick walls, huge arched windows, high ceilings and colorful paintings. On a sunny day, join locals and tourists at one of the outdoor tables fronting Napa Creek. Lunch...

Located in the Napa Mill, Celadon is the sister restaurant of Cole's Chop House. The restaurant represents Napa Valley's signature cuisine: Global Comfort Food. The cuisine is American food with Mediteranean and Asian influences. Chef Marco Uribe's story is analogous to the Napa story as well. His is a story of someone who ended coming to Napa and stayed. He started out as a dishwasher. Now a...

Regarded by many as one of Napa's best-kept secrets, Celadon goes the extra mile to combine Europe-by-way-of-California style with the best the Wine Country has to offer. A rough, weathered exterior hardly anticipates the contemporary scene inside, which features a wine bar, intimate tables, seductive lighting, and a covered garden terrace. An ideal meal may include a starter of grilled quail...

This cozy restaurant is a local favorite and it serves wonderful "global comfort" cuisine with specialties including crabcakes, flash fried calamari, and many seafood dishes.
