Editorial review from Citysearch

I took my dog to the CFAH on Oberlin during an emergency. She had been attacked by other dogs and had a laceration on her jugular and was pretty bit up. I called them and when i pulled up they came running out of the clinic with a stretcher for her. They were wonderful. They literally saved her life. Dr. Wages also found a fracture of her neck bones that could have killed her. She went over all of the options with me and explained the injury completely. She worked with my dog and me until my dog was completely healed. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they all were. We were...

We recently had our puppy spayed by Dr. Gordon. He used a new minimally invasive technique and our puppy went home a few hours following the procedure. That night she was back to playing with our kids and doing great. I think he is one of only a few practices in the area to offer this service. We were amazed that he could do the procedure through two incisions smaller than my finger.

I took my dog for a rabies vaccination recently, she was not due for yearly exam or any thing else, and they charged $46 for a ""comprehensive exam"" just to give her rabies vaccine which was an additional fee. I used to be a veterinary technician and none of the places I ever worked charged an exam for rabies unless it was for the yearly exam. This exam was not remotely comprehensive and very hands-off. If I had known I was being charged for this so-called exam I would have asked more questions! I definitely won't be going back. Also their flea and tick meds are astronomically priced.

Don't be fooled by fancy marketing and a nice website. This outfit will overcharge for their services and take advantage of you when you are vulnerable.

We all want the best for our pets, but don't let your actions be guided by your emotions. Do your homework, make a few phone calls, and ask the obvious questions.

And don't be surprised when they try to sell you an extremely expensive bag of food because ""your pet would really benefit...""
