I knew this place when they were an espresso bar, before there was pizza and other amazing sounding things. Their daily brew, espresso, and single origin beans were always outstanding. My favorite beans were Ethiopian, Costa Rican, and Nicaraguan. I'm looking forward to coming back and eating here.
It is a great place to have coffee, wine or beer with some friends and carry on a conversation without yelling. They have dessert coffees if you are into that kind of stuff. We ordered a liter of apricot sangria to share between the 5 of us. We each got a big glass full from that. We also got a couple of flatbreads. They were good with fresh ingredients.
The best pizza in San Diego (and calzones). The tomatoes and cheese are so full of flavor!! They also have delicious coffee and sandwiches.
There's a nice back patio and a place to sit out front with your coffee (and your dog.)

We're serving the finest Neapolitan pizza in San Diego, baked in our traditional wood fire oven. Choose from antipasta, salads, pizza, calazone, and desserts. Centrally located in North Park, within a few minutes from Hillcrest, Golden Hill, and University Heights.
This café serves up fresh ground coffee made using beans from around the world. They also serve a full breakfast menu featuring omelets and oatmeal. They serve over 20 kinds of tea as well and visitors are welcome to perch themselves on the patio to watch those passing by.
Fun Fact: Calabria's become somewhat of an insitution in San Diego in its 15+ years on the espresso scene, and many local restaurants opt to serve their sustainable and fair trade blends.
