Nice surprise

Authentic food with good service. Simple but warm decor and small enough to have a real conversation at normal levels. Paprikash dishes both chicken and mushroom were delicious, as were the stuffed cabbage rolls. Langos (garlic bread) was simple, just baked and hot with fresh garlic and seasonings, a second order was inevitable. Apple strudel was delightful. Very attentive young...

We ate early and were a group of 7 . Service was attentive and polite. I don't know what I was expecting from an authentic Hungarian restaurant but the food did not knock my socks off. It was good, filling and plentiful but somehow I expected it to be more exotic. Price was reasonable. Not much atmosphere. Perhaps my expectations...

We went to Budapest Bistro last Saturday night with a group of friends. There were 7 of us. We had reservations for 6:30 pm. We had never been there but always wanted to try.
Our waiter was great very knowledgeable and helpful. I ordered the goulash and my husband the chicken paprikash which he loved! Mine was good. Our friends...

We had never tried this restaurant before, and it was a pleasing discovery. It is a little on the pricey side overall, but everything is made from scratch and with seasonal ingredients. For example, they offer stuffed cabbage rolls in the fall & winter and stuffed peppers the rest of the year. Be sure not to arrive too late in...

A very enjoyable meal in a quaint environment

Classic style Budapest home cooking. Tasty but nothing totally unique. Staff is outstanding, incredibly knowledgeable about Budapest and gourmet foods. Family owned. I like the atmosphere with hand women textiles. Not inexpensive but worth the price of about $15 per entre.
Only a few Budapest restaurants remaining in the US. A good ethnic eating experience.

A popular part of the South Denver scene, Budapest Bistro offers Hungarian cuisine in an intimate atmosphere (great for special occasions). Not sure if you like Hungarian food? Start with Shepherds Cheese Spread, a wonderful pairing of goat and cream cheeses topped with green onions, garlic, and savory herbs. For the main course, order Chicken Paprikas, a tender chicken dish smothered in sour...
