So delightfully old school it will make you think you're in the Royal Tenenbaums ice cream parlor, Brooklyn Farmacy has the soda jerks, the tall glasses, the long spoons, and the delicious ice cream floats. But there are also breakfast biscuits and sandwiches and espresso, for which the parlor opens at 8 a.m. on weekdays.

The Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain is a family owned business, located in a beautifully restored 1920s pharmacy in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. The abandoned corner storefront stood as a neighbourhood mystery for over 12 years before being discovered first by Peter Freeman, and then by the Discovery Channel for a reality T.V. construction renovation series.
