Founder and Culinary Legend Jonathan Waxman's latest creation is typical Waxman. Housed in the rustic, historic old Sears distribution center- turned Ponce City Market, Brezza feels right at home. 90 year-old wood floors, oversized structural columns and monolithic metal frames help build the backdrop to Jonathan's delicious version of Italian cuisine meets Californian chef. Editorial reviews from the web (1)

The first Atlanta outpost from chef Jonathan Waxman (Barbuto, Chez Panisse), this sprawling Italian in Ponce City Market offers elevated takes on rustic fare such as roasted seafood, pizzas and handmade pastas, backed by a broad selection of vinos. The airy dining room and separate bar occupy two distinct - and distinctly elegant - spaces.

Food Was So Disappointing

The two best things about this restaurant are the location (beautifully renovated Ponce City Market) and a signature cocktail called the Shrub (vodka, ginger, red wine, rosemary - delish!). The food was terrible. I ordered the Gnocchi. They were burnt, thick and pasty and utterly tasteless. They were swimming in so much butter they need a life vest! Really disgusting....

I stopped in for dinner and was completely underwhelmed by this place. Maybe my expectations were high being that it's has such a lovely atmosphere but the food was was a let down....I had the shrimp risotto which was basically long grain rice soaked in broth. It was anything but creamy and the texture was unpleasant. I took one bit and pushed it to the side. Everything else was...

Fun Atmosphere, Great Food

If you are looking for a quiet place, this one may not be for you. If, however, you are looking for interesting food that is flavorful and well-executed in a fun environment, you should try it. Our server, Tom, was precise in his timing and very knowledgeable about the wine and food pairings. We will be back.

My wife and I ate dinner here two days ago, and as usual, had a terrific experience.
The new menu is great, we loved the pork chop with bacon jam, the Mahi and chocolate bundino for dessert.
This is one of Atlanta's consistently best restaurants.
Puja, our server was extraordinary. We eat out every night. She is the best wait...
