I should have went with my gut! Something told me that even though this was a referral I should not have taken my dog there. I'm sure it started from the very first phone call. Had I had the time to find another groomer I probably would not have gone---I had to cancel by 5pm that day or else they would have charged me a $20 cancellation fee. Just walking my pooch in made me nervous. Not to mention the strange, fast talking front desk/groomer I encountered that took THREE phone calls before tending to us, and we were on time for our 2pm appointment. Of course I was quoted $55 for my 7 month old puppy and walked out paying $70 but that was nothing compared to the muzzle they placed on him--saying that it was because he was "aggressive"--or maybe this was just the excuse they used to squeeze an additional $15 out of me. Mind you I had read some previous reviews regarding the price increases and add-ons and brought this to the owners' attention when speaking with her to book the appointment. Her reply, "You can't believe everything you read". Well, you can believe this one. To top it all off, the owner yelled at my niece when she picked up my pooch--which they had for 45 minutes longer than they said they would. She was mean and defensive and disrespectful. Whatever the owner of this "salon" did to my dog has scared him and made him skittish to the point where he's scared to be touched by people. This is the same dog that sees a human in a 100 yard radius and runs up for hugs and kisses. Aggressive my a@s. I would strongly advise that anyone considering this place pay special attention to how they will nickle and dime you---and make sure you bring cash...although they don't tell you that when making the appointment. $70--and did I mention that I told them very specifically not to cut the hair on his ears, just trim the bottom. My pooch got a full on hair cut on his ears...he looks like a freak--thank goodness hair grows. I'm so upset over this experience that I'm calling the BBB. You be the judge, but if I were you, it's best to support a chain like Petsmart before supporting a local business that treats you and your pet like s@!t.

Bow wow beauty shoppe provides the most comfortable and affordable San Diego dog boarding. I had to keep my dog there as I to go out town due to emergency i was worried initially but they took care well and moreover dog grooming was also done.
