Editorial reviews from the web (2)

Flower boxes, whitewashed exterior, general Euro charm of Bouley's late Franco-Japanese spot. Now used as catering and event space, with bakery restored to ground floor. Prix fixe Japanese feasts on Thursday nights.

Master chef David Bouley has done it again, creating an extraordinary and intimate restaurant above his two-level market, located directly across the street from Bouley Restaurant. Staff is wonderful.

Where else in NY can see the bread being made right in front of you? The smell is alluring and the selection of croissants a.m to the Bouley Burger pm, make it a sucubus for being in the neighborhood- Bouley's a bit of an underdog -was never on Top Chef - he's more committed to feeding the neighborhood, than celebrity, his food demonstrates this passion

Too bad they had to move back to the small, cramped location across the street. The service is still excellent but the food quality has gone down.

This was a special dinner for participants at the NYCE. It was fabulous. The cost was for a wine pairing dinner so the cost is not necessarily accurate. David Bouley came in at the end and spent time with us - he is charming and very interesting. A great evening!

Known more for the sushi, the restaurant also serves up fare like Asparagus with Crab and Roast Chicken. During the afternoons, it functions mainly as a cooking school, but at night things start to heat up! Not a common sight in other restaurants, Bouley comes by pretty often and prepares...
