This studio is a no nonsense place that is great for people who want to get a great workout. I see this may have come across to some of the reviewers as unwelcoming but my experiences at Body Vision Studio have been nothing short of great. It is not a place to be coddled or pampered. It's fun and inspiring while teaching you a lot about the technical aspects of yoga, pilates, and meditation. The instructors are focused on the people in front of them and do their best to accomadate the needs of all their clients.
I really wanted to love Body Vision. I went once a week for nine months and had two yoga instructors who were wonderful. I liked the space. But the owner is cold and unwelcoming. The last straw for me was when I heard her explaining to a fellow classmate of mine why she had fired our instructor. She did so in a manner that was extremely unprofessional and offputting. I am looking for a peaceful, welcoming vibe along with a healthy experience. Body Vision just does not deliver.
I am truly stunned by the negative comments as my experience has been so different!! Are we talking about the same place?? I have to admit I was pretty skeptical that Pilates would do much for me, but when my doctor recommended steroid shots for my herniated disk, I had to make the decision to help myself. At the advice of a friend, I signed up for a package of machine pilates at Body Vision. After 10 sessions, I felt virtually pain-free and I lived with back pain every minute of everyday. I would give this place zero stars if I could. For a place dedicated to pilates and yoga where concentration is key, why would you locate next to both MARTA and regular train tracks? You can expect to have trains passing by every 10 minutes, and they are very loud within the studio; so loud you have to stop talking. The owner seems to have a chip on her shoulder and could stand to take some courses on customer service. It too bad Body Vision does take teaching Pilates seriously. I can walk to Body Vision but after just one class, I gladly drive a half hour for a professional class.
