As another former tenant of 243 E. 13th Street (building owned by Bell & Co) I can unfortunately confirm the presence of multiple bed bug infestations in more than one unit inside the building. The landlord and management company handled the infestations irresponsibly and ineffectively, ultimately costing us thousands of dollars in damage. Management was unwilling to take the necessary steps and precautions to eradicate the infestations in the building, did not alert other tenants to the infestation, and threatened the tenants with legal action. Do not rent from this company.
We are currently engaged in a legal battle with Bell & Company regarding a serious bed bug issue in one of the buildings that the company owns. The owner of the company, Evan Bell, denies that his building on 243 East 13th Street ever had bedbugs, whereas we have 3 documented instances of an infestation during the course of our lease. In addition to them not dealing with the issue and breaking the clause of habitability on our lease, they are now demanding significant payment from us for months when we had vacated the property.

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. They are very incompetent and will waste your time and money. We ended up having to go to Deloitte, so that they could redo our taxes because Bell & Co. did it incorrectly. Not only did we have to pay additional interest and fees because of their mistakes and incompetency, Bell & Co then had the audacity to invoice us over $3000 for their services (or lack thereof). We are in the midst of a lawsuit. BEWARE! GO ELSEWHERE.
