BUYER BEWARE! Bard Optical made glasses for me that were so defective as a result of poor workmanship, that they caused me to suffer two years of double vision and migraine headaches. I had numberous tests including an MRI of my brain to make sure that there was not a tumor that was causing the double vision.

Finally my orthoptist tested not only my eyes but also my glasses and found that there was more than 4 times the recommended amount of base dowm prism in the lens of my left eye and more than 5 times the recommended amount of base down prism in the lens of my right eye. This...

I signed up for an appointment at Bard Optical in Champaign after seeing an ad on TV for their special -- eye exam and two pairs of glasses for $129. Being a grad student on a tight budget it was hard to pass up such a deal! I was a little reluctant after reading the reviews on this site and others, and thought about canceling the appointment, but I'm glad I didn't.

The office was easily accessible, even by bus. When I walked in the receptionist/office manager immediately greeted me and handed me some paperwork to fill out.

I told them I was there for the $129 deal, so they explained...

I just had an eye exam at the Bard Champaign office a few weeks ago. There was a young female doctor that was very professional and friendly. They took my insurance and overall I was happy with my visit.
