HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! My vehicle was involved in an accident, and was towed to their ""lot"" on North White Street, Wake Forest. We took out as much of our personal belongings as possible after the wreck, but left behind others that we just didn't have room for, or time to remove. These Included a dual DVD player, wagon, and other items. When the vehicle was taken to the collision repair shop, I went to retrieve these items and came to find out they'd been stolen out of my vehicle. My wife was in a wreck in which her car was hit from behind at a stoplight. The Raleigh police officer at the scene called Barbour's Towing and a flatbed truck soon arrived. In front of the officer I asked the tow driver what the charge for towing was and he quoted $135 and said it was a contracted price (I assumed he meant with the RPD). He went to put the car up on the flatbed and when finished, he waited by his truck for me to finish speaking to the officer (I assumed he was just being polite). Barbour's Towing towed my vehicle about two weeks ago. Upon paying the tow fee and being escorted to my vehicle I immediately realized that they had damaged the rear bumper of my vehicle. They said that I was mistaken and that they had taken pictures of my car before they towed to that would prove the damage was preexisting. After waiting for them to go inside to retrieve the pictures, I was informed that they did not have them. What a coincidence, huh? The towing supervisor then proceeded to tell me there was nothing they would do because there was no way they caused the damage.
