The Scene
You can tell the Barbecue Kitchen is a good pork palace by the mass of folks slurping down sweet tea and wiping the sweat off their brows. The place looks like a converted...
I ordered a salmon. Got ...have no bloody idea what I got, but it was not salmon at all. Some kind of something that looks as "hamburger" with a lot of flour.
This was recommended by the front desk person at our hotel. A short walk and we were quickly seated, we tried a few different things from the menu and it was exactly as promised! Good southern breakfast!
The red eye gravy on smoked ham was incredible. The biscuits and gravy were great! Eggs were cooked exactly as requested. Some serving...
This place was really close to our airport hotel and yet seemed to cater for the locals. The menu looked really good and clearly homecooking was the thing. The suroundings weren't 'posh' by any means but we were really appreciated the quality of the food here. The portions were large and delicious. Quite a simple place for good food and...

Main courses were the beef brisket and grilled salmon patties. Very good.
Sides were collard greens, baked beans, squash casserole, fried okra and stewed rutabaga. Each were excellent!

The...
Plastic won't buy you any tender pulled pork. Barbecue Kitchen takes cash only.
Split a platter with a friend to save room for the scrumptious peach cobbler.
