I began looking for a takeout loan for my new Tahoe Lakefront home in March of 2011.  I used RPM Mortgage of Truckee, Katie Rice was the mortgage broker.
My house is valued conservatively in this market at $1,925,000.  My credit score is excellent, high 700s, my husband and I have never had problems borrowing money.  Our income is over $30,000 per month, after taxes.

I searched bankrate.com to see what rate I can get for a 1 year CD. Bank of Internet dominates the competition. High rates have motivated me to open an account with them.

Recently Bank of Internet started to offer Finance Works, a software for online banking. Its good (I think its from Intuit, the makers of Quicken and Turbotax). \t\n\t\nI bank with Bank of Internet because of their great rates....

Beware that BofI is like a crook trying to use scam to get new fund. The Advantage Savings 2.5% rate offering on 7-20-09 is only good for one week, then it's dropping down rapidly & it's down to 1.65%...
