Located at Paradise Point, a tropical island on Mission Bay, Baleen is a hidden gem. Long a draw with tourists staying at the resort, it tended to get overlooked in town --- but no more. Dishes have included wood-fired flatbreads like the “Hunter” with duck-bacon sausage, smoked mozzarella, fennel and red peppers; Creole-spiced shrimp and grits; a grilled beef filet paired with truffle butter...

Had family visiting, and staying at paradise point hotel. We decided to get dinner at Tidal for convenience and knowing the food was really good, from dining there previously. Lucas, our server, was very passionate about the food and drinks. He made excellent suggestions but didn't overwhelm us. He was friendly and made the experience much better. Our last visit, the food was great, but the...
Service was punt standing and the food was fresh taken on Asian fusion(Philippine) style. Will definitely dine here again.
Love the décor and ambiance in this restaurant! Service was good, but a little slow considering we had 2 hungry kids. Food was good too. Unfortunately, my husband ordered the surf n turf, but they just sold their last one. Surprising since our reservation was at 5:30pm. Cocktails were very good as well.
All around good. Never had a 6 course meal before. Wasnt fond of every course, but ate it anyways. What do ypu expect, im used to orange fanta, pizza and hot wings. Our waitress Heather, (I think was her name, with the awesome tattoos) did an amazing job at explainimg each course, and she was superrr friendly. Great place.
We are regulars at Tidal (especially for seasonal outdoor dining along the fantastic deck), and we were excited to try the new selections, given the arrival of a different executive chef and revamped menu. The food remains outstanding and nicely varied (full cheese board, Arctic char, duck, adobo chicken, etc.), and the service is among the best in town, from hostesses and management to...
Craft and catch converge at Tidal, perched where land meets sea on the shores of Mission Bay. At the helm is Chef DJ Tangalin, curating a thoughtful selection of local seafood and craft beverages that, like the ever changing tides, shift seasonally at Mother Nature’s whim. Anchored by deep Mediterranean influences, Chef DJ presents modern, light adaptations of traditional seafood dishes such as...
