Yes, you can get baby essentials here but I think there are ought to be more places that offer these types of products. It can be completely inconvenient for so many people but since it is practically the only one in town, parents are forced to make the drive and drop the dough.

They have a great selection of toys from dolls to bicycles to even video games. Their prices are decent. Babies R Us is somewhere any parent should take their kid.
