Avenue A Wine and Liquor is quite well stocked and comfortable, especially when considering that it's located in Alphabet City. While it is well stocked, they didn't have the item I was looking for and the clerk went out of his way to look up another location in the area that might have what I was looking for. Thanks dude!

Owner is very friendly and it is nice the place is extremely close toy apartment, however itIs not the greatest. Small selection and no two buck chuck if you know what I mean. I've found the line at TJ's wine shop on 14th is worth it, $3 bottles....fuggggetttaboutit

I stopped by Avenue A Wine and Liquor on my way to the party. This slightly smaller wine store is really packed with a reasonable selection of wines. Their champs is slightly pricey. This small discount wine store may not be much to look at, but it rises above its local competition by featuring pleasant, well-organized displays, as well as great prices on wine and spirits. Avenue A store is immaculate, giving an indication of the owner's eye for quality. The center of the store displays the sale bins, which always offer great bargains.
