The Aurora History Museum is a community-based cultural center featuring changing history and decorative arts exhibits. Educational programs, tours, workshops and family events are offered for all ages throughout the year. The Museum features a permanent exhibit on the history of Aurora and two changing exhibit galleries.

The Aurora History Museum opened its doors in 1979 in a historic building with two very small galleries and an office. In 1991 the Museum moved to its present location and became a part of the City of Aurora, Cultural Services Division.
