Great Colorectal Surgeon

Dr. Mayer has been my surgeon since April 2010 due to severe ulcerative colitis. I recently had my second surgery out of 3 to create a jpouch. I am extremely happy with the results. He is not only very talented, he is caring, concerned, and always makes me feel like everything is going to be okay. His staff at the office are super friendly and helpful. I would recommend him to everyone I know...

Terrible Bedside Manner

My biggest pet-peeve about doctors is when they don't listen, and don't take the time to explain things to patients. Dr. Mayer is guilty of this. He asked questions and didn't wait to hear the answers. He is considered to be a great surgeon though, and I suppose surgeons are used to dealing with people who are unconcious.
