They do barbecue the old way at Anderson's, and it shows. You'll need lots of paper napkins in this casual, kitchen-style eatery. Pull up a bench and prepare to get messy. Whether you opt for the ribs, the pulled pork, or the barbecued chicken sandwich, this is the place to put your spicy taste buds on hold and opt for the mild sauce, which garnered an Oh-Miss-Nellie (highest) rating in Atlanta...
Barbecue and Southern side dishes rule in this very unfussy 'cue joint. Rib tips are tender and smoky. Unique items include the pig ear sandwich---no joke. The King plate, including barbecued beef ribs, pork ribs and chicken, is a meal deal. I never write reviews but I had to comment on Anderson's. My takeout order was incorrect. I ordered ribs, was charged for ribs and got wings. I returned 10 minutes later to find that they were closed without notice. I was the only person there so its not as if they could have mixed up my order with another. I''ll admit that the chicken did have a BBQ smoke flavor but that was its only redeeming quality. The mac and cheese and collard greens were outright disgusting. Rather than finishing my food from Anderson's I decided to reheat a week old plate of pulled pork from Shane's Rib Shack.

The place is very small and not too appealing. The ribs were overcooked. Some pieces were hard on the ends. The sauce tasted like it had cinnamon or nutmeg in it. I definitely would not try again.
