Came to fix a 6 inch water pipe leak in my apartment complex. Arrived about 8:00AM and at 7:00PM still no water. A 6" pvc pipe including locating the leak, excavating, repairing and temporary restoration should realistically be a 3 to 5 hour job at most, and that is pushing the limit. The whole escapade started on a Wednesday and now it Friday and they still haven't finished. What a disaster!
Paid $5,000 to Ammons for a piping repair. Ammons had to take the toilet off the floor and in putting it back on, they broke the toilet such that it won't flush without holding the handle for about 10 seconds. I called to have them come out to fix it and they will only come to fix the problem (that they caused), for a $95 service call plus cost of the repair!!! The toilet flushed fine before they took it off but was broken after they got done with their work and they expect me to pay $95 for the service call plus whatever it takes for them to repair their mistake.
To top it off, Joyce, the 'office manager', was rude and used foul language in addressing me. She refused to give me her last name or even the address of their business so that I could write a letter.
There are lots of plumbers out there - stay clear of this sleazeball outfit. I will be sure to tell as many people as i know not to do business with Ammons.
