The staff at Afterguard focus on making sailing fun to learn. Everyone there displays a positive and encouraging manner. The courses are rigorous but fun. We had an incredible time Saturday evening on the sunset cruise. Maury and Kevin did a great job showing us the bay from the Oakland Embarcadero. It's interesting to see the marina along with the big container ships in the beginning. By sunset we had an amazing view of the San Francisco skyline.

Afterguard Sailing Academy is a family operation on the Oakland Estuary run by Captain Mary and her husband Steve. I do a monthly membership there that allows me to take boats out anytime.
