Cudos for the City of St. Petersburg for preserving this icon of the city. I played there in 1958-59 with two different big bands- Bill Evans and Dick Crockett. Many of the well know big band of the big band era played there including Les Brown, Count Basie, Harry James, etc A real part of St Pete's history.

This is a lovely old building! You can easily imagine the dances that we held there in days past. It has been restored and still hosts dances, and other events like the Florida Antiquarian Book Fair.
