Help us make it rightMost disorganized outfit I've ever laid my eyes on. On one appointment, I showed up, sat in the office for 15 minutes and finally someone came out from the back telling me Dr. Cherry was not in that day and they needed to change my appointment.; they never called. I drove 25 minutes to get there on time and the doctor was not even there. In the past three weeks, I have left three messages to change my current appointment. No one ever answers the telephone. I had to call a sister office to have them call. Still no phone call.
My wife and I have dental coverage through BlueCross -BlueDental Care. The only reason we used SmileCare is that they are the only BC dental providers in town.
The office staff and X-Ray technician are pleasant. However, Dr. Karmen Cherry, who seems to be the principal among an alleged 18 associated dentists at the Ponte Vedra location, is another matter. She may be competent in her field. However, in my personal opinion (and that of my wife) she places profit above business ethics. After going to Smile Care Ponte Vedra for 10 years, mostly because it's convenient and its on my crappy insurance. I read the existing review (from 2007) Smilecare was under different mgt/dentist at that time and yes, it wasn't very good. I went back in oct due to a recommendation from a friend. Under the new dentist, the service is great, the staff is friendly and professional. Dr Cherry seems to know her stuff and didn't try to push unnecessary services (like most dentists seem to do these days).... If you need a new dentist, I suggest you give this office a shot.
