Situated on the very first block of Bourbon Street, Red Fish Grill offers a welcoming perspective on the French Quarter. Located at the threshold of "bawdy, gaudy Bourbon Street" in the French Quarter is this "relaxed", "unpretentious" seafood house offering Ralph Brennan's signature fare at a relative "bargain", including double-chocolate bread pudding worthy of "a death-row meal"; though the "touristy" spot "can be a little noisy", the busy waiters "never get rattled", resulting in a "swimmingly great time."

It’s our first time in the city and having dinner at a restaurant. The food we ordered wasn’t very remarkable. The shrimp in shrimp grits was much better and tasted fresher than that in creole shrimp, as more than a couple of the latter was soft and mushy.
