I put off LASIK for years because I was nervous. I didn't know what to expect and concerned about possible outcomes. I met with a couple different surgeons, but felt most comfortable with Dr.Shmunes and his staff. I also had a friend who was a very satisfied patient of his that made my decision easier. After meeting with Lorrie Mitchell and Dr. Shmunes, I knew I made the right decision. Lorrie was wonderful in preparing me for what to expect before, during and after surgery. I knew I could reach her day or night with any concerns I had. She walked me through every step and even sat by my side during surgery. Dr. Shmunes did an excellent on my surgery and calmed my nerves during the procedure. I knew I was in excellent hands. I am exceptionally pleased with the results and glad I chose Atlantic Eye Institute. Thank you for my new eyes!!

The whole experience was wonderful. The doctors and staff worked as a team, from the very first consultation to the actual surgery. They were very thorough in every process and answered all my questions and concerns. I am ecstatic about the new found freedom of seeing 20/20, 20/15 without the aid of eyeglasses or contacts.
