Help us make it rightMy wife and I love eating at Hong Kong Bistro and do so on a regular basis. It’s a sit down only restraint with the best Cantonese food I have had in the U.S. The lady that owns HKB is names Chou (Taiwanese by birth) and is a very nice and professional hostess. She recently changed her menu a little to accommodate some of her non Chinese customers and has recently hired a new chef from Hong Kong. Let me add one more thing, they serve outstanding Dim Sum but only on the weekends for now.
Hong Kong Bistro is a Dim Sum and Mongolian BBQ offering Chinese fare serving restaurant, which was receiving good reviews in the past, but seemed to have changed their menu and portions to unfavorable reviews. Wife and I happened upon this place in a shopping center in Mandarin while cruising for a place to eat. We are normally beach people and never cross the 'ditch' to eat, so this was really something. The Chinese food is pretty good and rates about a 7 in my book. (There is no such score as 10 (holy grail) and really gourmet food rates only 9.5) A plus is that they serve Dim Sum on Saturdays, one of the very few places in Jacksonville that does. Worth crossing the ditch!
