Amy, at the venue (AIA) was just so sweet, accomodating and extremely easy to work with. There wasn't anything that she didn't provide that we wanted and even things you may not have thought of she was there with help and suggestions. Our wedding was the first wedding AIA held, but you would have never guessed it! We were looking for a place a little bit different than most venues in DC. We wanted something modern and open and found it there, with the charm of the Octagon House as a backdrop. The space is fantastic and flows really well. Things we liked:
- Contract is for entire site so you can adjust plans according to RSVPs and weather
- Site has free-to-use tables and chairs. Chairs are very conference-room looking, though.
- Our vendors were allowed in hours before our paid-for time because the site wasn't being used before our event
- Great alternative to the formality of the average DC hotel ballroom or historic house
