This is a magnificent, historical hotel that sits on the Texas side of the Rio Grande. As soon as I stepped out of the car, I could feel the history of the hotel and area. I was greeted cordially by the valet who gave me a history background of the area. The hotel, restaurant, poolside are and rooms were immaculate. All staff were first class. One of my best experiences ever.
This place is very convenient to the border. Easy in and out with valet parking. Staff was very good. The hotel full of teenagers there for some sports tournament. I didn't hear a thing! For pets, there is a small city park (square) right outside of the front door, so that was perfect for us. I didn't venture far as I was very tired but would definitely stay there again.
