A Newark institution. Love the variety on the menu. A genuine old-fashioned deli. A hangout for Newark workers and old and new-timers. Like something out of a Philip Roth novel. Good fresh food and friendly, efficient service for eat in or take out.

This has to be one of the best sandwich restaurants in the area. Great hot and cold sandwiches. I recommend that everyone visit this restaurant when their in the area.

Had the Nico #1 and Palmieri #21 sandwiches. They were huge and very filling. The chicken on both of them were thinly cut and cooked to perfection. Atmosphere is similar to other delis/diner, but it was nice to have the owner (I think) come by...
