Be warned: Gil & Curt online uses Telefloral. Telefloral takes your order, puts a charge (pending hold or not) on your bank account and then Gil & Curt charge you again. Whether one of these charges comes off later or not, who knows, it is bad business practice. I made my bank remove the extra charge immediately, which is only right.
I called to talk to someone at Gil & Curt about this. First I'll say, I've used them before and usually (but not always) their arrangements are amazing and fresh and last a while, but they are not cheap. And I have no problem with someone who runs a local business trying to do so in an efficient, cost effective manner, but at times their attitude has been palpable. I don't care how fabulous you think you are, if I'm the customer it's your obligation to prove it to me and make me comfortable through the whole process.
After calling about this issue to express my concern, I will never use them again. Gil & Curt & the folk they have answering the phone seem to care only about making money and getting as many orders out as possible & damn the follow up customer service or any attempts to make a wrong right, or to at least re-assure a customer and attempt to keep them.

I ordered a flower arrangement online and an entirely different bouquet was sent. The bouquet I ordered had many beautiful roses but the beautiful roses were substituted with lillies. I did not give permission for this, the arrangement was unattractive, and I was greatly disappointed. The florist refused to do anything to compensate for their disappointing work.I would not trust this florist...
I only wish I had read the reviews before ordering from them. They have a horrible attitude. When you pay really big money for an arrangement, they should not get all upset if you want a little change, such as the flowers look droopy and can they possibly just make them face out forward instead of hanging down....The first person who answered apparently can take orders and be all sweet but should you ask for any little bitty change then you are turned over to the owner who should know these reviews are not helping his business one bit. Unacceptably rude! Exquisite arrangements! My fiance' has used only them for many years. My husband ordered my Valentine's Flowers from Gil & Curt. He asked for an early delivery which was accepted by them they were to deliver to my office which closes at 5pm. When 5:00 started approaching and I had not received the delivery my husband called them repeatedly and they still assured him the order would be there. I waited after my office closed until 5:20p then I decided to drive to their floral shop and ask for my flowers that they had already debited from our bank account at $120! My wife ordered flowers for her recently widowed mother who is experiencing her first Valentine's Day, 6 weeks after losing her husband of 50 years.
Flowers were due on the day before Valentine's day and never showed. My wife called to check on the order and was greeted rudely by Gil. She later spoke to Curt who seemed much more courteous and apologetic. Curt promised that the flowers would be delivered the next morning.
