Editorial reviews from the web (1)

It's not Disneyland, but the Wild River Ride and Roller Coaster still offer thrills.

The Appeal
If parents want to show their kids the cultural richness of Seattle Center, they can abandon all hope once their young ones hear the roller-coaster music or the barkers...

Fun for all ages!

A climbing wall, rollercoaster simulator, lazer tag, bumper cars, carnival games, a small arcade, mini golf, and 8 other major attractions (my favorite is Wild River - very similar to the one at Disneyland) are all waiting to entertain you downtown at Seattle's Fun Forest. Located just under the Space Needle, you can't miss it! The rides are fun, and it's a great place to take family and...

This is the Place that Gives Scary Carnies Their Reputation

Just walking through the Fun Forest Amusement Park at Seattle Center gives me the willies. The rides are old and outdated, there are rarely more than a few people there, and the people that operate the rides and concessions look like a work-release gang. On top of that, the rides are ridiculously expensive. My kids begged but I just couldn't bring myself to pay $2.50 or so apiece just so they...

Laughably poor amusement park.

Maybe if you really need a place where you can take your 2 year old to ride around on a safe ride. But if you're over 7, and definitely if you're 10-18, you'll find this park stu-pid. There are no lines. There are no people. The ridekeepers are bored, and the rides outdated and little-kid like. If you must "amuse" yourself, enchanted village isn't too far, and is slightly less stu-pid.

Dated, but quaint collection of amusement rides

The Fun Forest Amusement Park at Seattle Center is greater than the sum of its parts. Taken one by one, the collection of rides here might be viewed as disappointing. However, together they make a fun destination in the shadow of the Space Needle. The dated 1960s vibe contributes a certain kitschiness to the park which is actually pretty appealing. Young kids especially will have a great time.
