I have been renting with Dollar for years . . .but never again. On a recent trip to Tampa, FL I rented a car from Dollar and was offered the pre-pay option to purchase gasoline. Knowing that I wouldn't be driving enough miles to use a full tank, I declined . . . Rented here and unexpectedly dropped off at MCO (Orlando). They were within their rights to charge me an huge drop off charge, since I didn't plan it. They worked with me and really helped me.

Never Again Citysearch

Booked for 21 days using AA Advantage miles. Fly often and rent cars weekly (corporate is through Hertz though) so I am familiar car renting. Got the best (lowest) mileage charge per day through Alamo but...

TOTAL RIP-OFF - my Dad booked a rental car through Alamo's booking agent, Hotwire. They have an undisclosed condition in which you not only cannot cancel or change a reservation, but you lose your reservation...
