I moved in, quickly I needed a place and I had my 3 children periodically and Boyfriend also stayed, but the other comments are correct, The Manager a Black Male acted as if he did not have to do anything and he didn't he hung out with thugs, and Mike & Kenny were always creeping around smoking dope, Mike is disgusting he hooked up with a mental patient and she is out of it, there are criminals, prostitutes, drugs, and neglect by Mother Olson's the authories will not do anything either as there were reports but nothing came from them, it is like living in hell, I knew one guy they...
I have read the comments and it sounds as if Mother Olson's could be libel for damages, if I am correct Mother Olson's (landlords) have a responsibility for adequate shelter and protection, for the Manager to be negligent in his duties and not reporting threats and harassments is similar to siding with the offender where there is reports given to Mother Olson's of Drug use and illegal activity but not intervening is also Negligence. there are many issues that are reported in these comments and they all should have been addressed by Mother Olson's officials and if not I believe they are...
I came to Mother Olson's Boarding House at 122 N.8th Street in 1967. I was all of 19 years old. I had just got a job at Safeway, too. Keith Alan Watt, who was in the office, gave me a room, and a chance to make it in San Jose, which I did not know much about at the time. I was down on my luck with money many times as a young guy out on my own. Something worked for me because of the start that I got in San Jose from Mother Olson's. I will always be grateful for what they did for me all of those years ago.
