I rate this terrible only because it's closed. This was real, honest Italian food. Bright sauces, fresh al dente pasta, unusual dishes like Stracciatella Soup to happily drown in. One got the sense that about half the patrons were family -- maybe that's why it closed? It is mourned.

My friend and I were in Downtown Santa Rosa, and she suggested we go to Caffe Portofino. I can't believe I've lived in Sonoma County for almost 15 tears and had never been in there. The service in this place was outstanding, but too bad the food tasted so bad. It was very bland and poorly cooked. Too bad cause I would definitely come back because the service was so good.
