I left my cat there overnight, as we had to wait on payment. I'm glad they were able to work with me on payment, they are keeping my cat til I can pay. The only thing that bothered me was that Dr. Bartel reached in my cat's cage, yanked him out by the scruff of his neck (which is ok, he's a cat) but then he started yanking him from the cage, but my cat wouldn't budge, but my cat is docile and sweet and was not swiping at him or biting or hissing, so there was no need to yank him out. So I had to get him out of the cage. Dr. Bartel was swift to get to treatment though, since my cat had a life-threatening issue. He has done all the necessary things to take care of my cat though. My cat looks so tired and dead, but he's recovering, and they were able to do everything necessary to take care of him. He will be ready to go home tomorrow. So price is great, and Dr. Bartel knows his stuff, and I thank him for treating my baby. (Edited November 16, 2011)
If you are looking for a caring, compassionate, sensible and REASONABLE vet for your pets, you MUST go to see him. All of my family on both sides who have pets go to him. I've gone to the uber vet hospitals and spent hundreds of dollars on tests, xrays, etc. Dr. Bartel gives the same thoroughness, with much more of a personal touch, and you don't spend 1/3 of what you'd spend elsewhere, but you get BETTER care. You don't feel like you got robbed, either, with perhaps unneccessary treatments, medications, tests, etc. I'd spend my life savings for my pets, however, so it isn't just about money. His love for animals just shines through. Going to see him is a treat as he becomes part of your family. I can't say enough good things about him!
