Absolutely the WORST detail shop; $100+ detail ended up costing me $1000

This business does not even deserve 1 star. I would give them -5 stars!

Based on my personal experience, this is the LAST detail shop you want to entrust your expensive & treasured vehicle to. My baby - a 2007 model with extremely low mileage & in excellent condition - was returned with a dent in the hood caused by careless employees who tried to put/force the hood down without removing the hood prop. Besides putting a dent in the hood, the metallic paint was also chipped. In addition, they chipped the paint on the front bumper & broke one of my side rain guards that had only been on the vehicle for 3 months. My vehicle sustained all the aforementioned damage & yet I was not told what had happened, i.e. they did not own up to the fact that they had damaged my vehicle. It was left for me to discover when I got home!

The owner, Craig Russell, tried having the hood repaired by a buddy of his (after I pursued it because he would never call me to make arrangements for fixing it). The repairs resulted in the entire hood being messed up. His buddy got primer over the entire hood, then applied paint & clear coat over that, & when Mr. Russell did the wet sanding & buffing, the hood ended up having buff marks, high-lighted areas & low-lighted areas, i.e. the paint had a variegated appearance & did not match the quality of the metallic paint that was on the rest of the vehicle. Mr. Russell finally replaced the broken rain guard about 6 months after the initial incident.

Mr. Russell could have turned this over for his insurance company to handle & my vehicle could have been restored to the condition it was in before he took possession of it in a timely manner. Additionally, if he would have let his insurance company take care of it, he could have kept a loyal customer who had also made several referrals to his business. However, he chose to handle it his way, i.e. on the cheap, because he had $1000 deductible & he did not want his insurance premium to increase. He also did not want to provide me with a rental/loaner car so I had to let him pick up my car from the office & take it to his buddy's body shop (next door to his business), & then have Mr. Russell drive it back to my office at the end of the day so I would have transportation that evening and to work the next day.

Mr. Russell has a peculiar way of taking care of his loyal customers. I had been taking my vehicle there for about 1-1/2 years, & I had even taken him & his employees home-baked cookies for Christmas in 2011. Evidently, saving money was more important to him than restoring my vehicle to the condition it was in prior to having it detailed at his business & more important than keeping my repeat business.

In summary, my advice is to save yourself a lot of money & headaches by staying away from this detail shop. (Edited February 17, 2013)
