Love love love love love. That's great! Accept/endorse things the Lord teaches through His word as sin or abhorrent? I cannot agree with this. Please, people of UCC, read ALL of God's word, don't cherry pick, and be changed to conform to the likeness of God, not attempt to change the AllMighty to conform to your preconceived thoughts. So sad to see that there is a group of people pretending to be something in clear disobedience only to keep from becoming extinct. I don't know if anyone in leadership looks at these posts but if you are in leadership I encourage you to please study the Scriptures, beg God to show you the error of your ways. Visit a UCC and you will be received as the beloved child of God that you are, just as Christ would... that goes for even the haters who have been engaging in some sort of campaign to leave bad reviews. Your mockery and derision is laid at the feet of Christ, who strengthens me.

Part of me wants to attend a UCC church to see why anyone would possibly attend one and part of me knows that if I did I would probably have an aneurysm and burn down the building. I saw a picture posted by UCC that said: "Scripture is like a GPS. Brilliant, all-knowing, and occasionally wrong." Not to mention that that's contradictory within itself, that is complete heresy. Not sure why anyone...

I started going to the UCC near my college campus last year and now attend the one in my hometown. Having been raised Catholic, it's not as traditional as I'm used to, but it's warm, welcoming, and makes me feel like I can be myself instead of conforming to a strict set of rules. Open and Affirming congregations are the best! Thank for giving this runaway Catholic a place to call home.
