Help us make it right"Hits" abound on the "book"-sized menu at this "popular" Uptown Vietnamese where the "delicious", "authentic" offerings, including "delicate", "well-flavored" pho, compensate for the modest, "hole-in-the-wall" setting; BYO makes the "super-reasonable" tabs even more palatable, and service works "fast" even when "busy."
UPTOWN—A new night market is opening tomorrow night on Argyle Street, serving an array of grub from Uptown restaurants like Sun Wah BBQ, Tank Noodle, Hai Yen, and more throughout the summer. Also look for popup vendors, live entertainment, and farm stands. [EaterWire]
FULTON MARKET—Speaking of outdoor markets, Homaro Cantu's new tasting menu at iNG is inspired by night markets from around the...
Nothing cures a hangover like a hot bowl of pho. Many people might prefer something greasy but there's definitely ill-curing properties in the broth of Tank Noodle's rice noodle soups. One sip will improve even the direst conditions and by the time the bowl is finished, you'll be well on the road to recovery.
Load up the Vietnamese soupy remedy with as much sprouts, cilantro and spices you can...

Lisa Arnett, Metromix: I adore the Purple Pig, but have all but given up on going there with a group because of the crowds during peak times.
The Curbed Cup finals are upon us and it pits Uptown vs. South Loop. Uptown has great eats like Sun Wah, Tank Noodle and Tweet and cool bars like the Green Mill and South Loop has, well, big-box stores and traffic (ok, fine, they have Jerry Kleiner spots and Bongo Room). Voting ends soon so go pick which should be crowned the city's neighborhood of the year. Can you tell which way we're...
The pho is great, but you could go elsewhere for cheaper. I probably liked the music more than the food...
The pho soup overall is better than most but could find cheaper. Rather trendy atmosphere, given the music choice..
Chances are anywhere in argyle is not gonna be a disappointment if you are a South East Asian food lover like me. Having said that walking into Tank Noodles is the closest experience to actually being in Thailand. Sweat through the spicy hot pots, the soups or the Noodles, repeat...chase with Thai iced coffee...bliss...
Along Argyle there are several spots to get pho and other ethnic cuisines. It's been on my list to try for a while and the food did not disappoint:) I loved their pho, probably more so because I was super sick with sinus/cough bleh-ness. Also enjoyed one of their bahn mi sandwiches as well. Not too expensive, atmosphere is super casual and although they take reservations it's probably not...

This noodle house is one of the many gems waiting to be discovered in the Argyle Street area. Family-style, round table seating and a bright, welcoming decor make it a convenient destination for large groups. During rush periods, couples are often seated at tables with other customers to save space. The popular meal option here is Pho, Vietnamese beef soup that comes with cilantro, jalapenos...
