This outstanding veterinary practice has my highest recommendation! Our family refers every pet owner we know or meet to Pleasant Plains Animal Hospital, and our referrals are always so happy after their visit. Two recent and TRUE stories: My sister and her family were able to enjoy their 12-year-old Lab at least an extra year with an improved quality of life thanks to this veterinarian. Her previous vet seemed to 'give up' on the elderly dog. Similiar situation with a family friend we referred. Her 5-year-old small breed was hit by a car. Her vet basically charged her $3,000, sending her home with the dog in pitiful condition after 2 days care and told her there was nothing they could do, and advising her to put the dog down. After seeing Dr. Meleleo, this little dog literally SPRANG to life under his care and attention.Through the years, we've had various vets for our pets. However, none can compare to the expertise, service and sincere compassion of Dr. Meleleo and his professional staff. He has been caring for our current 4 pets (2 dogs, 2 cats) since 2009, and we were thrilled when he opened his own practice in July 2011. They sincerely care about your pet and treat every pet as if it was their own! They are attentive to an owner's concerns, patient and spend the time and effort required to analyze the care of each pet member of your family. Although it is extremely impressive that Dr. Meleleo is one of the only local vets to earn an Ivy League veterinary degree, perhaps more important than a premier education to pet owners is that he is truly a wonderful, kind, generous and gifted professional who will make you and your pet feel very comfortable. I would trust him caring for the HUMAN members of our household--that is how special a person he is! Even if you think you are satisfied with the veterinary care your pets are already receiving, I suggest you visit Pleasant Plains Animal Hospital with your pet...just to say "Hi!" You'll be glad you did! The office is beautiful, new, state-of-the-art, FUN and FRIENDLY. The parking lot is large and convenient...mere steps from your car to their front door! The practice is accommodating to your schedule, on-call for emergencies and will offer payment plans upon request. Their focus on what is most important to you--your pet--is absolutely impeccable. AAAAA+
My normal that was not in it while my ninja was ill so it was an emergency and they treated him amazingly. They treated us just like the person who's going to same vet years, not like it was a burden or our first time there. All of the people there were knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. I would definitely recommend bringing your Pet here for care.

I love, love, love Pleasant Plains Animal Hospital...and wouldn't trust anyone else with my boy! It's obvious that Dr. Meleleo and Dr. Longo (and their amazing staff) truly love animals. I recommend them wholeheartedly!
