While there's more than one donut shop in Durham, Monuts is the best. Kid friendly, but almost always busy so be prepared for a wait. They also have biscuits, sandwiches, salads, and a selection of wine + beer. Don't miss their chocolate chai or apple cider donuts.

The "Yes I Yam" breakfast sandwich is absolutely delicious. The biscuit on the outside instead of an English muffin or toast gives it the perfect touch. The plain glazed donut is soft and doughy; simple yet delicious!
