Great place to stay very clean and Friendly staff. If you are coming for Mardi Gras you'll be smack in the the middle of it all and can walk anywhere. The only downside is once you park in the parking garage you are stuck durning the parades. Also a great place to stay any time of the year.
I stayed for 4 nights at the Hotel and I can honestly say I enjoyed my stay.
My room was average double queen bed, tv, coffee machine, mini fridge etc the room was clean, the bathroom was small, but that was minor for me. Free Wifi available in Lobby only, there is a charge if you wanted wifi in room....
The lobby is cavernous and lacks character or warmth. The service is fine but not at the same level as its sister hotel, JW Marriott, across the road. There's nothing unpleasant about this hotel. It just lacks "something". Breakfast service was good. The rooms are comfortable.
The room was comfortable with what seemed like a newly renovated bathroom - though poor on workmanship (the face plate of the water knob was loose and not caulked, the curtain rod plates at each end of the rod were loose) otherwise pleasant to look at. Bed was comfortable with lots of pillows both hard and soft.

BIg, busy, right next to the French Quarter and runs like a clean machine. The lobby bar is a great hang out, there's a Starbucks inside. Taxi's are immediate and right out the door. Rooms are... well, Marriott box rooms. Bed was excellent. Desk and chair were much better than usual. What more could you want in big chain hotel?
