Help us make it rightLeader Bar & Grill, Cleveland, OH. 955 likes. American Restaurant
I'm visiting in town under cover from Los Angeles. I represent the enterntainment back on the West Coast. As a Cleveland native I dressed casual in an artsy Affiction shirt and a pair of ripped jeans.
I'm in no way writing this review to be hainious or cruel but being purely honest. I can understand the slow pace and dying atmosphere that's come to be expected of Cleveland.
This diner is new and I decided to be a good guy and give them some business. My greatest flaw as a human being is believing in people and having high expectations for people who don't believe in themselves.
Well upon entering the establishment I was met with an eerie atmosphere of doom and gloom. A cute waitress served a table and was never to be seen or heard from again the duration I was there. She hid in the back I assume.
The girl bartender behind the bar never looked up voluntarily or even spoke, not even a greeting or hint of conversation. She would make rounds ignoring everyone too busy counting tips that would be pocketed by the suspicious looking guy in the apron who I assumed to be the owner or manager.
He never came out to say hi or greeted any of his customers. It's like all of the help is really shy or couldn't careless about their customers. The bartender apologized once for the delay and went right back to ignoring me.
A couple patrons made remarks about maybe just walking out. I was already present and stubbornly hungry so I waited it out. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, a tea and appetizer of onion rings.
I was disappointed as the onion rings were served as a side on the same plate as the sandwich and not as described on the menu at all. I even had to ask for condiments were were already advertised on the menu as being served with dish.
Over all it was a bad experience and $10 for a egg sandwich and a side of onion rings w a glass of tea in Cleveland is way over priced especially given the service. There is defiantly more speaking up than required to dine here.
It's as if you have to pay more and make an extra effort for a bad meal. Maybe this review will grab their attention and make them realize they need to up their game and not just wait relying on happy hour to pay the bills. Every customer is equally important and you don't know who just might walk in. So now you've earned yourselves a bad review.
One storefront of the Leader Building has been a revolving door as of late, housing Bar One, Bar One Sushi and now Leader Bar & Grill, all in about the past two years. With its most recent moniker, bar management is hoping to make Leader Bar & Grill a standby for businessmen and women needing a cocktail after a long day’s work in the Fifth Third building, PNC Bank, Leader Building, Federal...
If you are looking for casual bar dining in downtown Cleveland, this is a great place to try. Homemade spicy chips and superb burgers
Went in there on a Saturday night and we practically had the place to ourselves..2 guys working the bar and both were awesome. They were really slow, so the guy that waited on us also cooked our food. Really good wings and the burgers are awesome. Prices are reasonable too. Lots of TVs, we were watching the Bulls game. Very...
This place used to rock at lunch. It has become less popular with a lot of staff turnover. The food is still OK, but slow.
This is my first time in town. Best bar to stop at! A must do.
I ate here with two colleagues on a recent business trip and at the time the bar was quite quiet. The staff were friendly and we ordered burgers or various sorts. My colleagues both enjoyed their Burgers but I ordered the Blue Cheese topping on mine and it was like a salt bomb.
Leader Bar & Grill is located at 526 Superior Ave E, Cleveland, OH. This business specializes in Bars, Pubs, & Clubs.
Leader Bar & Grill has taken over the storefront window on Superior Avenue of the Leader Building for Bar One and Bar One Sushi. Leader Bar is strategically located to cater to the downtown afterwork crowd, given the lack of a bar scene away from the Warehouse District and W. 4th. A stong beer list and good menu will only help in bringing in that crowd. The décor is nothing flashy, but the...
