Some of us are upset.. but do you follow the rules??

I live here for more than 15 years. Since I retired I've been staying here. Now I cant complain. If I dont like to live in apartments then I should save up get my act together and buy a house. These nice people crate apartments so we can reside in these unit. Now there some tenant in here that they need to get out and make our apartment a much happier place to live in. So when I see nice tenants moving in im happy. Yeah tenats complain when thing get broken down but what do I expect its an old nice building.. HELLO... If I dont like it then theres the VISCONTI for about my ARM & LEG. Let me tell you a neighbore of mine told me that theres some stuck up tenants over there. Parking is not so great the LAUSD building takes it all, but most of the time I find parking. The managers might be a little humble but they are nice. Things might take a some time to get fixed but it does. The price is good. The locationg perfict so I do recomend to live at 1207 Miramar st. The bad thing is that I cant have pets, but I can live with that.

Rent at your own risk

* The Managent Staff is of no help at all. They enfore the rules to the tenants but don't follow them (one staff member lives in the building). If a problem arises, don't count on the staff to come to your rescue - half of the time the 'Request For Service' forms are conveniently misplaced.
** The on-site Asst. Mgrs.... ghetto! There's no other way to describe him & her. They are extremely confrontational. They look like any "cholo" couple from off the street. They are completely unprofessional and need to get their act together. They refuse to utilize the office and have tenants go to their residence for service requests. There are 90 units in the building... where do they live?
*** Unfortunately, the owner/manager has let the building completely deteriorate. My unit has several problems that haven't been fixed, and I've been here for years. What answer do I get... none! There is a hole in the lobby ceiling, that never seems to get repaired. I've contacted Dept. of Health Services numerous times about the constant ceiling leaks (in the lobby) and various holes in the walls.
**** The location: horrible! Yes ayou are conveniently located seconds away from Downtown, but it's not worth it. A school just erected and the kids are always loitering around the building after hours. A nighclub opened across the street, and all walk of life are passing through. Constant broken bottles, drunk people hollering, and condom wrappers are found around the perimeter of the building.
***** Sure, the utilities are included, but for the holes you have to jump through just to get things done... it's not worth it! We've lived here for years, but within the past few motnhs, the building, it's tenants and the staff have gone down-hill. You can bet we are moving!
****** If you don't believe me, see for yourself. Take a tour and ask questions about the FACTS that I have given. Talk to the tenants... everyone is unhappy (even the staff) ***

[EDIT 5/5/15] Bugs, Termites, broken appliances remain and the bathroom faucet is unusable. Manager is never on the premises. The unit is not bad - and the neighbors are great, but it also feels...

DO NOT RENT HERE -- there are numerous city code violations, the maintenance and building upkeep has fallen below legal standards. Many tenants have filed complaints with the City of Los Angeles, current tenants have circulated petitions against the current property owners and on-site management regarding rent stabilization and its legality, poor work performed on units, and building safety/accessibility for children and the elderly. I came to visit this place in hopes of finding a new place to live. Let me tell you, this was the nastiest place I've ever seen.
