Information about this business (3)

Gorgeously restored mid-century theater located in downtown Seattle. Home of Seattle's most epic movie theater experience, chocolate popcorn & locally sourced concessions.

This theater was saved and renovated with an infusion of cash from Paul Allen and the house revives the notion of a big-movie experience. With big seats, a big balcony, a big sound system and a really big concave screen (68 feet wide), the theater welcomes up to 808 viewers. The theater does occasionally show more subdued, more visually poignant films, but the biggest crowds come for the...

Editorial reviews from the web (1)

If you only see one movie, ever, see it at Paul Allen's state-of-the-art pet project.

In Short
The most modern, lush theatre in Seattle. Before the show begins, a giant velvet curtain hides the concave, 68 foot-wide screen. A speckling of glittery ceiling lights give the...

Oh man, I've been missing out! I visited this theater for the first time last weekend and absolutely loved it. We took my nephew to see How to Train a Dragon 2. The screen is HUGE and we loved the experience sitting in the upper balcony, it felt like a real broadway-type theater experience. The chocolate …

One huge screen, clear picture, amazing sound, clean, and comfy seats. There isn't a bad view in the whole theater. I like how their concessions stand is pretty simple. Water, soda, Caffe Vita coffee, tea, candy! Popcorn, chocolate popcorn, mixed (my preference)!! Also offers some local goodies such as Theo chocolate and Cupcake Royal baby cakes. I've never had a bad experience here.

65' x 30' screen with 4k def. I'm in HD heaven! The Chocolate scented popcorn fills your nostrils as soon as you enter the doors. They have any beverage you'd like (even a hot Moroccan mint tea). Their selection of snacks are nothing but gourmet: Theo's chocolate, cupcakes and more chocolates. The seats …

Tips about this business (2)

Fun Fact

The theater has been around since 1963--but it took Paul Allen millions of dollars to make it the premier Seattle theater today.
