Picked Chouquet's for a Valentine dinner - unfortunately it disappointed. Pros: sat on street patio, cute, quiet warm (!) friendly server. Decent fixed menu for $75. Oysters, filet mignon, yum. Good reviews made me choose Chouquet's for a dinner with friends. For a French Bistro there is no ambiance, the furniture is worn, the noise level high. Food was basically alright, the lamb chops good, the selection however rather limited.
What a beautiful, welcoming patio for a sunny day. And like most restaurants in France, very dog friendly. My speaking 100+ lb Rhodesian Ridgeback? Pas de problème.
Had dinner prior to going to the movies. I asked for no potaotoes and more vegetables and they gave me potatoes. This was corrected but I had to wait for the extra vegetables . This is more like a diner than a restaurant, except for the food prices and small portions. Very, very noisy, non-existent atmosphere, fake French, way overpriced and a major disappointment. I can't find anything to recoomend.

Tables on the quaint sidewalk patio fill up quickly on warm days, but the prime view of Fillmore Street shoppers and scenesters is worth the wait.
