Editorial reviews from the web (3)

Fun activities for little ones take place at this hands-on, state-of-the-art museum where areas for exploration are broken down into a variety of "playscapes"—woods, water, voyager, Becka's Studio, invention, and reflection. Snacks are served in Café Play.

Fun activities for little ones take place in spacious exhibits. The Learning Lounge has touchable, movable pieces; Becka's Clubhouse has hands-on art; and New Digs goes from simple gardening to cooking. Older kids have fun on the climbing wall and at the cultural displays. Families get in free on the first Friday of the month.

An educational, fun play space in downtown Tacoma.

Fun for children under the age of 5. Lot to do some science, art, and play area. Not much parking. But the staf is helpful and the price is right.

This is a small but wonderful children’s museum with an art studio, water tables, a slide, treehouse, and a really cool ship! This is a perfect spot for toddlers and through kindergarten aged.
It was free as well!

We were visiting from out of town and the rain came down. With 5 children from 1-8, we 3 adults met at the Children's Museum. Parking was not good, and we had to walk 2 blocks in the rain. But the kids didn't care. The...

Tips about this business (5)

Know Before You Go: Each exhibit has a "play guide" you can take with information on how to enhance your child's experience of that exhibit and suggestions for at home activities and resources to help your child's learning and fun continue after his or her visit.

The Extras: The By the Sea area is a special play area created just for infants and toddlers. Kids love the fishpond filled with water and plastic fish they "catch" with a kid size pole.
